Gathering a variety of artists using multidisciplinary mediums, Mann and Laing curate an exhibition of participatory performance, sculpture, images and sound in a domestic environment. As a means of bringing together of artists with a common tie- an interest in the light hearted and those producing work on humour- this exhibition functions as an exploration of sculpture and moving image and it’s link with the world which formed it. Regurgitating everyday life back out into the world through their artwork seeks to highlight the complex interplay between performance, sculpture and document, and raises questions of the link between moment and memory.
Opening 2.August at 6pm- 9pm
Including a durational performance by Charles Sandford.

37 Gallery was formed in 2013 by Stephanie Mann and Calvin Laing to provide a space to present work in an environment which facilitated natural discussion. Gallery 37 multifunctions as a domestic space and exhibition platform, modest in scale yet genuine and enthused in approach. It lays emphasis on an ethos which stems from Mann and Laing’s practice- to utilise objects, situations and the environments at hand. 37 Gallery is situated in Bethnal Green.
