Karlotta Blöndal and Ragnhildur Jóhanns at Stavanger Kunstforening
Karlotta Blöndal and Ragnhildur Jóhanns participate in the group show HETEROTOPIC VIEWS at Stavanger Kunstforening.
February 7 – March 17, 2013
HETEROTOPIC VIEWS is a collaboration between the artists Karlotta Blöndal, Johan Gaellman, Ragnhildur Jóhanns, and Ingeborg Kvame, who met at the island Nådøy outside Stavanger in the Spring of 2012:
Five artists – five strangers – spent two weeks on a desert island. It was a space of otherness, a heterotopia, in which they produced art.The setting gave them the sensation of being part of a reality show or a horror movie, while they slowly got bonded together.
As they parted and returned to reality – their everyday life – they had an exhibition in mind.
One artist got lost on their way, but he will lurk in the scenery of this exhibition that is their heterotopia.
