DOX Centre for Contemporary Art would like to announce the opening of the Modes of Democracy exhibition
Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 7 pm
Exhibition opening time: November 14, 2014 – March 16, 2015
The exhibition Modes of Democracy presents inspirational as well as cautionary accounts of democracy in operation at various levels – from city neighborhoods, towns and cities, small and large states, all the way up to the global scale. It also shows how local democratic practice is today being shaped by global trends and vice versa, providing insights into an emerging idea of transnational democracy. The exhibition comprises both single artworks and entire sets of works by artists from five continents.
The opening reception will include performances by Brazilian artist Thiago Gonçalves and the groups Činoherák Ústí and Farm in the Cave.
