LtA…a subtitle in Maria Stenfors
Artist and curator talk | Wednesday 12 at 19.00.
As featured here earlier, LtA…a subtitle, curated by Chris Fite-Wassilak recently opened in Maria Stenfors in London. The exhibition, that includes works by Hreinn Friðfinnsson, Damien Roach and Megan Rooney, has been well received and one of the busier ones at the gallery. The exhibition features a new video work by Hreinn Friðfinnsson, and other older works beautifully and subtly compiled with the works of Roach and Rooney.
Featured here are some images from the exhibition, that amongst others questions whether we always reconstitute ourselves in our own image, or if we can, even unknowingly, find other, new ways to see, to feel and to be? The exhibition draws from one of comic writer Alan Moore´s works from the late 80´s, Swamp Thing, where the main character, wanders around as a bodiless entity, taking physical form with whatever organic matter he happens to find on the various planets he touches down on.
The images speak for themselves.
Read a bit more about the exhibition or visit Maria Stenfors in London until December 22.
