Meet Ólöf Nordal and Gisli Palsson

The Icelandic artist Ólöf Nordal works with museum collections and archives of physical anthropology. Her work “Musée islandique” focuses on casts of Icelanders made in the nineteenth century by a French scientific expedition, and on specimens collected by the Icelandic scholar Jens Palsson in the late twentieth century.
Gisli Palsson is an Icelandic ethnologist, specialist in the history of Social Anthropology of Scandinavian human sciences.
