Poetic images on the theme of the circle of life. Internal and external cosmos. Light, both a metaphor for infinity and repetition, coalesce. A contemplation of light in its various embodiments and its influence on the entirety of life and nature. Furthermore, the use light, the reflection of light, or allusions to it as a symbol of our inner self, of something higher, of peace, eternity and universal value.
A technique that Mireya Samper has developed makes the paper translucent allowing her to use light in a unique way. The work is often made with layers in that sense become three-dimensional objects, resulting in more profound perception.
Eternity unfolds the universe. The work encourages the observer to reflect and connect with their inner selves as well as connecting with the “external world” and the cosmos.
