on site - an international platform for contemporary visual art
Opening November 27 the exhibition ice ice baby and public programme in Vienna.
Six emerging and established Icelandic artists, Bjarki Bragason, Leifur Ýmir Eyjólfsson, Sigurður Guðjónsson, Anna Fríða Jónsdóttir, Katrín Inga Jónsdóttir Hjördísardóttir Hirt & The Icelandic Love Corporation, are
presenting their work in a 300m2 loft in the 9th district in Vienna.
The accompanying series of events taking place November 28 & 29 includes a performance at the Theseus Temple of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, a sound-performance at TBA21–Augarten, a lecture at the Department of Art History of the University of Vienna and a panel discussion with representatives of the Austrian and Icelandic contemporary art scene.
On December 11 we warmly invite you to the opening of Bjarki Bragason’s intervention at the Collection of Greek and Roman Antiquities at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien and the Mineral Collection at the Naturhistorisches Museum, which will be realized in cooperation with both institutions.

As kick-off exhibition on site brings Iceland to Vienna. Through the presentation of various artistic positions, developments and tendencies of Icelandic Contemporary Art will be discussed as well as its ways of representation on an international level.
