STILL LIFE WITH FRIES
16MM SINGLE PROJECTION (LOOPED) / INSTALLATION
REBECCA ERIN MORAN (REYKJAVIK, ICELAND)
a framed space. a flatline of time. inspired by traditional dutch painting and the secret life of inanimate objects. still life with fries is a tableau vivante painted with light.
Rebecca works in diverse forms such as installation and sculpture. It often examines concepts and material of 16mm filmmaking to explore perception, narrative, linear thinking; where time loses the marker of meaning. Her work explores the loopholes between things, the clash. The conflict. The paradox of. Where opposites meet and create coherency.
