We seek applicants for the following positions:

Chairperson of Fine Arts

The Fine Arts Department is a recognized leader in the visual arts and offers BFA and MFA degrees. We are searching for a dynamic individual to provide leadership by articulating and carrying out a shared vision within a large and diverse department. The selected candidate will advance the goals of the department through active student recruitment and faculty development. The chair is responsible for cultivating support for its programs and raising the visibility of the department within Pratt and the larger community. This administrative appointment carries a 12-month-per-year workload and a three-year contract that may be renewed.

Assistant/Associate Professor—Photography

We invite applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank to begin fall 2017. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator in photography and related media and a practicing artist with an active exhibition and publication record. The position entails teaching in and directing the MFA program in Photography. We seek applicants who bring the vision and experience necessary to assume an academic and administrative leadership role in the program. Closely linked to the MFA program in Fine Arts, the newly defined MFA in Photography Program is scheduled to launch in fall 2018.

Applicants for both positions should have a terminal degree or its equivalent, a strong record of professional accomplishment, excellent interpersonal skills, a demonstrated level of intercultural competence, and an ability to work well with diverse populations.
