Laufey Helgadóttir is a independent freelance art historian who lives and works in Paris and Reykjavik. She has written numerous articles on art and was for a while editor for the Nordic art magazine SIKSI. Laufey has also curated several exhibitions and was curator of the Icelandic Pavilion at the Venice Biennial in 2003 with Rúrí and 2005 with Gabríela Fridriksdóttir. Laufey specializes in art from Iceland of the sixties and the seventies. She is one of the authors of the first Icelandic Art History that was published in spring 2011.
