Eygló Harðardóttir

Eygló Harðardóttir (b. 1964) practice ranges from abstract sculptures, installations, site-specific ephemeral and permanent works, to video. In her works she explores the borderline between visible and invisible informations. Her newest works are made of elements like paper, wood and colours with sculptural qualitatives. The sculptural elements of her paintings, as well as the interaction between the viewer and three-dimensional colour works, give a spectrum of miscellaneous information to the viewers. What creates the piece is the interactions of the complex system of the work and a comparison of its different fragments, that build on the viewer’s memory. Eygló studied at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts, and the AKI – Akademie voor Beeldende Kunst en Industrie, Holland
