Heiðrún Gréta Viktorsdóttir(b.1990) graduated with a B.A. degree from Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2015. She works with variety of mediums but has mainly been focusing on performance art. The foundation of Heiðrún’s work comes from the consciousness of herself as a gender, the human body and the existential self. In her work she has focused on her own experiences and opinions towards the consumer culture which is constantly shaping a standard form of the sexes. Through these reflections she creates new paths for herself as a woman. She does so by looking at the body from a spiritual perspective. She examines limits of the human body between the physical and spiritual world. By listening to her own nature and subconscious she creates a channel where sexuality and the body can flourish independetly in the form of creativity.
