Jón Sæmundur Auðarson (b. 1968) lives and works in Reykjavík, Iceland. He graduated from the Icelandic College of Art and Crafts in 1999 and the Glasgow school of Art in 2001. His works are mostly based on installations where he uses various mediums together, such as paintings, sculptures, videos & music. He has been also touring with his band, Dead Skeletons and making painting performances while on stage. Death and life has been an important theme in Jón´s work for the past years and his most known work is the Dead concept, which he started in 2003 till this day. Dead is focused on life, a paradox intended to shock people into thought. A benign virus. The concept is Dead and alive.
