Rebecca Erin Moran (b. 1976) received her BFA at the Art Instute of Chicago. Her work questions the perceived framework of time, the materiality and spirituality of things, and references of symbols in our daily lives. It asks the questions what defines an objects existence and material form, and what happens when time is removed or becomes material itself. Her work approaches these investigation mainly through the medium of 16mm film, installation, performance, and sculpture.
