Viktoría Gudnadóttir (b. 1969) lives and works in the Netherlands. She received her BA from Akademie voor beeldende kunst in Enschede in 2000 and her master’s at the Dutch Art Institute in Enschede in 2002. Video is among Viktoría’s many ways of expression. Her mostly short (1 minute) video works vary from experimental photographic films to more serious films in which Viktoría attempts to capture and isolate moments of emotion from individuals within groups of people, working with concepts of the spectacle and spectatorship. She also creates installation text works with paintings or by writing directly on gallery walls. As well as having some ongoing online photo projects.
