The Visual Art Council annually awards the Icelandic Art Prize and at the same time a Publication Award, along with group exhibition and retrospective of the year. The aim of the Art Prize is to honour Icelandic artists, as well as artists reciting in Iceland, and bring attention to well-deserved indicatives in the field of contemporary art.
The Visual Art Council calls for publications related to visual arts published in 2022. Both digital and physical publications are eligible, from individuals, institutions and publishers. The honourable mention is awarded to an initiative that is considered to have an important value for the visibility and research in Icelandic visual art.
Deadline is 1st of December.
