Brynhildur Kristinsdóttir: To Be a Being
26 August, 2023–11 August, 2024
“The Beings have been with me since I visited Museo della Statue Stele Lunigianesi in Pontremoli, Italy 1990. The primitive sculptures had a big effect on me and have been with me ever since. In my work I am looking at the expansion of the painting as well as changing it from flatness into three-dimensional work. I contemplate what is inside and outside the picture-form and how it is connected to the environment. Lately I have more often chosen to exhibit my work outdoors.”
