Ívar Glói: Silvered Flowers Blooming
4 January, 2022–15 January, 2022

Mǫrsugur is the third month of winter according to an old Icelandic calendar. Mǫrsugur is the darkest time of the year when all living breath lies in hibernation. To brighten up those dark weeks four artists will project their works on the window of Gallerí úthverfa / Outvert Art Space in the center of Ísafjörður. The exhibition Mǫrsugur lasts for two months and the individual exhibitions last for 12 days each.

Ívar Glói’s (b. 1992) works deal with the context of the art installation and the idea
of the unique art object in an age marked by virtual connectedness. Using different media to project hints of different places into each exhibition space the works play with the notion of the viewer being somewhere unique, however staged the setting of it may be.
Ívar Glói is currently enrolled at the Luca School of Arts. He studied at the Iceland Academy of Arts, where he finished his BA in Fine Arts in 2014, as well as Hochschule für bildende Künste (HFBK) in Hamburg and Konsthögskolan i Malmö.
He currently lives and works in Brussels.
