Kaleidoscope: Icelandic 21st Century Art
10 June–31 December

Kaleidoscope: Icelandic 21st Century Art presents a selection of the works that the museum has acquired in the last two decades. The museum´s art collection spans as much as possible the breadth and the new emphases that can be found in the Icelandic art scene, both by reconized artists as well as the work of younger artists.
This year, 2023, Reykjavík Art Museum is celebrating 50 years since the museum’s first location was officially opened in Kjarvalsstadir. On this occasion special attention will be paid to the museum´s collection and the opportunity used to display treasures from the collection.
This exhibition is the third in the Kaleidoscope series held in Hafnarhús and Kjarvalsstadir on this anniversary year.
