Olga Komarova is an emerging artist that has lived in Iceland for the past six years, and specialises in portrait paintings. She now exhibits her artwork for the first time.

The process of creating a portrait is very important to Olga. “I became so fascinated with the process behind making portraits. Through it I am able to view people’s faces in a more mindful manner, see the stories that they tell me and project — I’ve painted people of any age, gender, nationalities and social statuses”.

This creative process itself can therefore build special empathy between the artist and the subject where you allow yourself time to reflect more on the faces of your friends and even strangers.

In connection to that Olga Komarova wants to invite you to join her on an interactive journey where you have the opportunity to take part in the personal process of creating portraits of your own and hang them on one of the exhibition wall in WHITE BOX.
