Power of Passage
24 June–25 June
Power of Passage is an annual festival/exhibition with main focus on time based art, where different media are involved. These works are characterised by the fact that the time-related performance, the act, together with the right space, material and imagery form a whole; not forgetting the body or bodies of those who perform the work. One of the characteristics of this art form is that the documentation, either in photographs, film or physical copies or traces, is generally defined as an integral part of the time-related artistic performance.
The program starts around 1 pm on both Saturday and Sunday

The festival is held in honour of Gísli Reginn Bryndísarson and we consider him a guardian of this project. One artist living abroad will be awarded a studio stay and a grant from Gísli’s memorial fund to perform or present their work at Power of Passage every year, but the goal is that this event will be held annually and will in the future become a platform for time-related art on a broad basis and thus attract new works and unexpected experiments.
