The Guðmunda Andrésdóttir Support Fund is now open for applications.
According to the funds charter no. 9321 the main goal of the support fund is to “grant and encourage young and prominent visual artists to further studies” but the initial capitalisation of the fund consisted of an inheritance according to the will of Guðmunda Andrésdóttir, painter, who died in 2002. The budget of the fund is the real interest of the principal amount and this year there 2,5 million ISK will be granted.
The fund grants visual artists to pursue further education and it is preferrable that applicants have completed a BFA in the visual arts or a comparable study. The minimum stay of the study sojourn should be six months. A detailed report of the intended studies should accompany the application, along with a recommendation letter and information about previous studies and work.
The deadline for applications is October 3rd 2016.
Please send your applications to Listasafn Íslands, Laufásvegur 12, 101 Reykjavík or to firstname.lastname@example.org.
