As in previous years curators are given an opportunity to pitch their proposals for Hafnarborg’s fall exhibition. The current show of the museum is an example of this and was picked out of numerous interesting proposals that the museum received last year. The aim of the open call is to find an interesting curator to collaborate with, but also to bring forth fresh blood into the scene. With that in mind the museum aims to tend to curators with a less expensive career and Hafnarborg is the only Iceland based museum to open their doors in such a way. It has been the experience of the museum that by doing so, interesting and diverse exhibitions have come to life, that have gained attention and great attendance.
The deadline to send in proposals runs out on October 30th 2016. Please send your proposals to firstname.lastname@example.org
