Open call: Residency in Clermont-Ferrand in France for April 2021

Deadline: 30. October 2020

The deadline to apply for a residency in Clermont Ferrand in France has been extended by one week. The residency is the result of a collaboration between Nýló and Artiste en Residence in Clermont Ferrand (http://www.artistesenresidence.fr), with great support from the French Embassy in Iceland and the Alliance Francaise in Reykjavík. Members of Nýló who have paid the annual fee for 2020 are welcome to apply for the residency in April 2021. The stay includes a studio and a room to stay free of charge, as well as a grant for living costs of € 1,000.

The residency is a kind of “exchange program”, Nýló sends an artist to France for a month, and a French artist stays in Reykjavik for a month-long stay at SÍM. The French artist Naomi Maury stayed at SÍM’s studio on Seljavegur in September. Naomi came to Iceland in the beginning of the month and after completing her quarantine got to know the Icelandic art scene. She met with artists, curators and worked on her art. She returned to France in the end of September.
