Everything with Tenderness brings together oil paintings by Ra Tack and a new sculptural series, The Ferryman and His Staff, by Julie Lænkholm. Through distinct yet interconnected approaches, both artists explore themes of transformation, longing, and the unseen forces that shape our inner and outer worlds.

Tack’s immersive oil paintings blend abstraction and symbolism, layering rich textures to evoke shifting states of being. Their work navigates the interplay between materiality and emotion, offering a visual language that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. Lænkholm’s sculptural works, including her moon spines, engage with forgotten narratives—particularly those rooted in female-driven traditions and embodied knowledge. Drawing from mythology, personal history, and ancestral practices, she brings these stories into contemporary focus.

Together, these works create a meditative space for reflection on care, transition, and introspection, inviting viewers to step into a world where the material and the metaphysical intertwine.

Julie Lænkholm holds an MFA from Parsons School of Design in New York. Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including Skaftfell Art Center (Iceland), ARoS Aarhus Art Museum (Denmark), Ásmundarsalur (Iceland), and the Textile Arts Center (USA). In recent years, her practice has expanded into garden-based projects, resulting in permanent installations at Ásmundarsalur in Reykjavík, Restaurant Noma in Copenhagen, and ARoS Museum in Aarhus.

Alongside her artistic training, Lænkholm is a certified cardiac nurse and has completed a three-year program in Nordic plant medicine, integrating care, science, and ancestral knowledge into her artistic research.

Ra Tack is a Belgian painter living in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland. Their work has been exhibited in London, Ghent, Berlin, Marrakech, New York, Copenhagen, and Reykjavík and is held in private collections worldwide. Tack is represented by IMT Gallery in London. Outside of painting, they occasionally DJ at events, exploring rhythm and atmosphere across different artistic mediums.
