The Icelandic Art Prize will be awarded for the first time on February 22. The purpose of the awards provide recognition to outstanding visual artists and exhibitions, honor Icelandic artists, as well as artists reciting in Iceland, and bring attention to well-deserved indicatives in the field of contemporary art.

Sigurður Guðjónsson for Inlight in the chapel and morgue of former St. Joseph’s Hospital (ASÍ Art Museum).
