Icelandic Art Center announces an open call for a three-month residency grant at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP). Eligible applicants are Icelandic visual artists, or artists with a significant connection to the Icelandic art scene.
The residency will run from June – August 2025.
The residency program includes 24-hour access to a private furnished studio space; regular studio visits from Visiting Critics; Field Trips to museums, galleries, and other cultural venues; and participation in Artist Talks. Residents become part of a growing network of international artists and curators who are ISCP alumni. An ISCP residency has often led to critical advancement in the practice of the artist and curators in residence.
The grant covers the residency fees, however, the applicant must fund his living costs.
The residency is sponsored by the Visual Art Council. The Council will select a short list of applicants and then the final selection will be in the hands of ISCP.
The deadline for applications is Monday, June 3.
The application and supporting material have to be in English.
Make sure to attach the following supporting materials to your application:
- Work samples: this should include 10 images or video links with a caption (title, date, medium, and dimensions/duration for each work) and a description of each work.
- Curriculum vitae: 5 pages max.
- Scanned copies of 2 – 3 reviews (if applicable): max 10 pages.
- Scanned copies of 2 – 3 catalogs (if applicable): pages that feature your work only.
