Nature's play of colors
Ágúst B. Eiðsson

Ágúst graduated from the painter’s department of the Icelandic School of Arts and Crafts in 1996. He has taken part in a few group exhibitions and held his solo exhibitions, e.g. in the Safnahús in Sauðárkrókur, Villa Nova, Hotel Varmahlíð and with the art association Solón in the Gúttó-building in his native town, Sauðárkrókur.
Ágúst grew up in Sauðárkrókur and has always sought his inspiration in nature. In this exhibition, we can see oil paintings inspired by the powers of nature he experienced growing up. In his paintings, we can see powerful colors and forms intermingling and almost turning into abstract constructions while at the same time keeping pace with natural form and flow.
Ágúst has newly moved to Reykjavík and carries on with his artistic endeavors. This is his first solo exhibition in Reykjavík since 20 years ago
