Weathered
Samsýning / Group Exhibition
The group exhibition "Weathered" comprises the works of the Icelandic Contemporary Photography Association as part of the Icelandic Photography Festival 2025. The aim of the exhibition is to reflect on the role of photography in contemporary art and in art history. The exhibition also explores how photography can be defined unconventionally, as the artists explore the relationship between man and his environment. In the works, we see traces of man, but the human being is nowhere to be seen.
The exhibition explores the impact of man on nature and the environment. Photographs will be shown of abandoned landscapes where we only see abstract or objectified traces, either in nature, indoors, in the urban landscape, or a social context. Participating members:
