Katrín Gunnarsdóttir dancer and choreographer will lead a participatory event in movement in the spirit of Gurdjieff Thursday 26th September at 6 p.m. in Gerðarsafn. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes for movement.

Gerður Helgadóttir was extremely interested in spiritualism. She sought lectures on Gurdjieff's teachings in Paris and studied spiritual movements where "the body as the link between the inner and the outer world".

This Thursday is Good Thursday and Gerðarsafn will be open until 9 p.m. and entrance is free.

Gerðarsafn is a progressive museum with an emphasis on modern and contemporary art, located in the heart of Kópavogur. Gerðarsafn offers temporary exhibitions with works by Icelandic and international contemporary artists as well as displaying the museum collection. The exhibition program echoes the museum‘s status as the only Icelandic museum built in honor of a female artist, Gerður Helgadóttir (1928-1975).
