All artists from all disciplines are welcome in Solvellir Arts Residency.

Pictural, musical, corporal, theatrical and all other forms of arts are very welcome, alone or in a group of course !

It is however asked to all residents to keep in mind that it is a place to respect each other's process of creativity and thus the calm and peaceful spirit of the place.

The studio is in a former classroom, it is 105m2 and the ceiling is 3m high. It is a wide and spacious space, very luminous and with a magnificent view on the mountain and the fjord around. Each artists will have around 30m2 to use in this space. However we consider that residents can divide the space differently considering their need and the amount of residents as long as they all agree on it.

Residents will be provided with a desk and a chair each, some basic tools can be available and any other request can be discussed when the application is going through.

Each resident is renting a room with a double bed or two single bed depending on the rooms. The suite has its own bathroom, the upstairs two other bedrooms share one bathroom and the downstairs two bedrooms also share one bathroom.

There is no wheelchair accessibility in Solvellir Arts Residency for the moment.

Artist can apply alone or in a group. Their is five different rooms in the residency and a maximum total of 10 persons. 

However one resident will book a room for himself. It is possible to add a second person in the room being then the partner or friend/colleague, with an extra fee.

Rooms are rented on the following base price for one person :  Suite #1 : 150 000 isk  Room #2 & #3 : 135 000 isk  Room #4 & #5 : 125 000 isk An extra fee of 22500 isk will be charge for the second person sharing the same bedroom.  Artists will be asked to fill an application form available on our website at the following address : https://www.solvellir.com/application

We will then be in touch as soon as possible and when the application is approved and fully payed, the room is booked and reserved for our future resident.
